The Kugoo Kirin G1 is a heavy-duty electric scooter built around a 1000W motor (1100W peak) running on a 52V system, delivering up to 29Nm of torque to climb slopes up to 15 degrees. Three speed levels let you ride at 37, 54 or up to 65 km/h, and the cruise control function holds your speed after you keep the throttle steady for 8 seconds.

A large 52V 18.2Ah battery (946Wh) gives a maximum range of around 65 km on a single charge, so longer commutes and weekend rides are easy. The sturdy aluminium-alloy frame supports riders up to 150kg, while 10-inch pneumatic tyres, front and rear suspension and a 190mm ground clearance smooth out rough roads.

For safety, it combines a disc brake with an electronic EABS brake for a stopping distance of about 5 metres, plus bright LED lighting. The OLED display shows speed, battery, riding level and error codes, and you can switch between km/h and mph. It is IP54 water-resistant and folds down for storage and transport.
