Plug a Console, Camera or Second PC Straight Into Your Stream

This is the small, boring, reliable kind of capture card — the sort you plug in once and stop thinking about. HDMI 1.4 goes in from a console, mirrorless camera, second PC or phone adapter, and USB-C 3.2 Gen1 carries the signal out to your machine as a standard UVC video device. There is no driver package to install and nothing to configure: the computer simply sees another webcam.

It captures 4K at 30Hz, or 1080p at 60Hz when you would rather have the frame rate than the resolution — the right trade for fast-moving gameplay. Latency is low enough to monitor live in the preview window without the audible lag that makes commentary awkward to record.

The enclosure is machined aluminium rather than moulded plastic, which is what keeps it stable over long sessions; capture chips run warm and plastic housings trap that heat until the stream starts dropping frames. It is bus-powered over USB-C at 5V/1A, so it travels with a laptop and needs no separate adapter, and it works with OBS Studio, XSplit, Potplayer and QuickTime Player on Windows 10 or later and macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later.

Key Features

  • Driver-free UVC device: Recognised as a standard camera by Windows and macOS — no software to install.
  • 4K at 30Hz capture: Full UHD recording from consoles, cameras and second machines.
  • 1080p at 60Hz option: Trade resolution for frame rate when the action is fast.
  • USB-C 3.2 Gen1 output: Enough bandwidth for clean UHD capture without compression artefacts.
  • Low-latency monitoring: Preview stays in step with the source, so live commentary tracks properly.
  • Aluminium alloy enclosure: Sheds heat over long streams instead of trapping it.
  • Bus-powered: Runs off the USB-C connection at 5V/1A — no external power brick.
  • Broad software support: Works with OBS Studio, XSplit, Potplayer and QuickTime Player.
