The ViewSonic SP6 is made for meeting rooms, classrooms and training spaces where closing every blind isn't an option. It puts out 4,800 ANSI lumens through a 0.55" XGA DLP chip, so slides, spreadsheets and charts stay readable at a native 1024x768 resolution. A 25,000:1 contrast ratio keeps text crisp and dark areas solid, while ViewSonic's SuperColor technology draws on a palette of 1.07 billion colours for accurate, natural-looking images.

Setup is quick and forgiving. The 1.1x optical zoom and ±40° vertical keystone correction let you square up the picture without moving the projector around, and it can throw an image anywhere from 30" to 300" wide, with a 100" picture from roughly 4 metres away. Five picture modes (Brightest, Presentation, Standard, Photo and Movie) cover everything from data-heavy decks to video, and HDMI input also accepts 3D Blu-ray content.

Running costs stay low thanks to a 190W lamp rated for up to 15,000 hours in SuperEco mode. Auto power-off, a sleep timer and built-in presentation and blank-screen timers help save energy and keep meetings on schedule. For connections you get HDMI, two VGA inputs, composite video and audio in, plus monitor and audio outputs and a 2W built-in speaker.
